Estimator — Custom Fabrication

What you'll do

• Review project documentation and discuss projects with salespeople
• prepare cost estimates using estimating software such as QuickPen, Autobid Mechanical, and Tekla Powerfab
• obtain vendor and subcontractor bids
• prepare project documentation and participate in turnover meetings
• assist with project drawings
• review actual versus estimated costs and improve estimating procedures
• enter bid requests and communicate bid participation to customers
• assist project managers with cost-at-completion forecasts.
