The Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Community-Based Behavioral Support role is an onsite, part-time position in Roseland, NJ, with service hours two days per week from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pay is $22–$28 per hour, based on experience and service-plan complexity. Royal Community Support provides person-centered support to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities, promoting dignity, independence, and inclusion. The role supports one individual at home and in the community, helping build independent living skills and participate safely in meaningful activities. The DSP follows individualized service plans and behavior support strategies while assisting with daily living, meals, transportation, and social engagement.

What you'll do

• Assist with daily living skills and household tasks
• prepare meals according to dietary needs
• teach and reinforce independent living skills
• follow individualized service plans and behavior support strategies
• provide transportation to appointments and community activities
• encourage social and recreational participation
• promote safety and well-being
• communicate professionally with guardians and agency staff.
