Applied AI Software Engineer

The Applied AI Software Engineer role is in person in New York, NY, five days per week, with compensation of $150,000–$220,000 per year. Blossom Health’s AI-native care platform supports psychiatrists and aims to expand access to affordable, timely, clinically effective mental healthcare. The engineer builds and ships AI product experiences for clinicians and patients, developing LLM-powered systems that automate or augment healthcare workflows. The role owns features from experimentation through production and builds evaluation and monitoring systems to improve reliability and performance.

What you'll do

• Build AI-native product experiences for clinicians and patients
• design and develop LLM-powered systems and agents
• own AI features from prototyping through deployment, evaluation, and iteration
• build evaluation, monitoring, and feedback systems
• work across models, prompts, tools, retrieval, and application infrastructure
• collaborate with clinicians and engineers to identify high-impact workflow opportunities.
