Dental Assistant

The Dental Assistant role is onsite in American Fork, UT. Compensation is $17–$21 per hour. The position supports Young Family Dental’s Orem/American Fork team at a family-owned practice serving Utah families since 1972. The assistant helps dentists deliver patient care by preparing treatment rooms, assisting during procedures, supporting patient comfort and communication, and maintaining sterilization and infection-control practices. Administrative support may include scheduling, billing, insurance processing, and charting.

What you'll do

• Prepare treatment rooms and assist dentists during procedures including fillings, extractions, crowns, and root canals
• hand instruments to the dentist
• help patients feel comfortable
• greet and prepare patients
• review medical histories and update records
• provide post-procedure instructions and oral hygiene education
• sterilize and disinfect instruments according to OSHA and CDC guidelines
• maintain supplies and operatory readiness
• assist with scheduling, billing, insurance processing, or charting as needed.

Why this role
