What you'll do

• Provide visualization of the operative site
• assist with hemostasis and closure of body planes
• select and apply wound dressings
• secure drainage systems to tissue
• participate in volume replacement or autotransfusion techniques as appropriate
• assist with patient positioning and skin preparation
• anticipate surgeon needs
• maintain confidentiality and ongoing professional development.
