What you'll do

• Register patients and process inpatient and outpatient admissions
• collect, post, and reconcile payments and balance cash drawers
• monitor the ER ambulance phone, transcribe messages, and relay critical information
• maintain ER admitting office coverage except during a hospital emergency
• update and distribute the daily on-call schedule
• review charts
• initiate overhead code announcements as needed
• verify insurance and demographic information
• maintain forms and supplies
• protect patient confidentiality and support quality improvement.

Why this role
