Freelance Jib Operator

Job overview

The Freelance Jib Operator role is based onsite at a studio in New York, NY. Compensation is $40–$50 per hour. SNY provides regional sports coverage across television and digital platforms, including coverage of the New York Mets and New York Jets. The operator works with the Studio Operations team and technical and news staff to create camera shots for live, taped, and automated programming. The role supports studio production by operating jib and handheld cameras and maintaining equipment.

What you'll do

• Create varied subject shots in coordination with the Director
• support live, taped, and automated programming
• operate Cammate Jib and handheld cameras
• help maintain cameras and rigs
• train others as needed for backup.
