Maintenance Technician

Job overview

The Maintenance Technician role is onsite in Charlotte, NC. Compensation is $20–$24 per hour. The position supports the physical condition and resident experience of the managed property. The technician responds to maintenance requests, performs preventive maintenance and apartment turns, and addresses repairs across building systems. The work helps keep residential units, buildings, and grounds safe, functional, and aligned with company standards and applicable laws.

What you'll do

• Respond to maintenance requests
• schedule, monitor, or perform preventive maintenance and apartment turns
• diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, drywall, structural, and appliance issues
• inspect buildings and grounds
• coordinate with vendors and contractors
• assist with purchasing supplies and invoice preparation
• provide scheduled on-call pager service and emergency maintenance when required.

Why this role

Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of related maintenance experience, a current driver license, and automobile insurance. EPA, HVAC, and pool certifications may be required.
