Job overview

The Emotional Wellness Specialist role is based in person in New York, NY, with flexibility to work from home or another suitable space after reporting to the office or completing field or community work; this flexibility begins after the first 60 days. The salary range is $60,000–$70,000 per year. CASES’ ROAR program supports young people ages 16–27 in building skills and connections that can help them avoid incarceration and reach education and employment milestones. The specialist develops relationships with participants and community stakeholders and provides clinical, referral, and case-management services. The role uses trauma-informed, culturally competent, and strengths-based approaches to support participant wellness, safety, and progress toward individualized goals.

What you'll do

  • Develop rapport with participants and families and create wellness plans and assessments
  • facilitate individual counseling and groups using Interactive Journaling and other evidence-based curricula
  • provide in-home, community, and program-site services
  • collaborate on service plans and measurable goals
  • provide trauma-informed services and risk-management support
  • respond to crises as needed
  • provide in-office case management
  • maintain community provider relationships and participate in team meetings and service planning.
