Strategic Planning and Organizational Development Consultant

Job overview

The Strategic Planning and Organizational Development Consultant engagement is based in Silver Spring, MD, with work across in-person meetings, virtual facilitation, and independent remote work. Compensation is allocated up to $20,000, negotiable. Rock Creek Foundation provides support services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and co-occurring disorders. The consultant will lead a participatory assessment and planning process to establish an actionable, measurable strategic direction. The work is intended to strengthen the Foundation’s sustainability, resilience, organizational capacity, and implementation of its priorities.

What you'll do

• Review organizational documents and background materials
• interview and facilitate focus groups with leadership, staff, board members, and stakeholders
• facilitate planning sessions and build consensus on mission, vision, values, priorities, and goals
• assess organizational structure, leadership capacity, systems, and operations
• recommend development and capacity-building priorities
• create an implementation roadmap and performance measurement framework
• establish accountability structures
• prepare the final strategic plan and present recommendations to leadership and the Board.
