Assistant Superintendent

The Assistant Superintendent role is onsite in Washington, DC. Compensation is $100,000–$110,000 annually. American Contracting & Environmental Services builds mechanical infrastructure at water and wastewater treatment facilities, supporting critical water systems and local communities. The assistant superintendent supports the superintendent with daily field operations, coordinating crews and tracking progress so work proceeds safely, on schedule, and according to project plans. The position also offers a path to develop field leadership responsibilities.

What you'll do

• Support the Superintendent in managing daily field operations
• help coordinate earthwork, process piping, equipment setting, and concrete placement
• assist with short-term schedules and daily production goals
• help ensure work follows safety requirements, plans, and specifications
• identify and communicate field issues
• track manpower, materials, and jobsite progress
• assist with daily reports and documentation
• coordinate with crews, subcontractors, and project teams.
