The Medical Assistant (Part Time) role is onsite at the Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless clinic in Albuquerque, NM. The schedule is 24 hours per week, tentatively Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a required monthly Friday outreach from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Compensation is $18.82–$20.23 per hour. The organization provides integrated care and advocates for people experiencing homelessness. The medical assistant supports clinic and outreach care by rooming patients, collecting basic medical histories and vital signs, assisting providers with procedures, performing wound care, injections, immunizations, and lab procedures, and preparing examination rooms. The role also participates in medical outreach in the Bernalillo County service area and connects with the organization’s harm-reduction approach to care.

What you'll do

• Room patients and take basic medical histories and vital signs

• prepare and stock examination rooms
