Senior Environmental Compliance Specialist

The Senior Environmental Compliance Specialist role is based in Morgantown, WV; remote arrangements may be available depending on business needs and candidate qualifications. The hiring range is $100,000 to $125,000 per year. The role supports Legacy Management’s obligation to protect human health and the environment and its long-term post-closure surveillance and maintenance responsibilities. The specialist provides regulatory compliance expertise by preparing and reviewing environmental plans, reports, and assessments, interpreting applicable requirements, and tracking actions through completion. This work helps the client execute its environmental program and meet federal and state obligations.

What you'll do

• Prepare site- and project-specific environmental compliance documents
• review proposed actions under applicable environmental laws
• interpret regulatory requirements
• prepare and submit compliance reports
• review responses to regulatory changes and directives
• conduct policy and compliance assessments
• coordinate document reviews and submissions
• track requirements and schedules
• and support Environmental Management System goals.
