Maintenance Mechanic — Food Manufacturing

The Maintenance Mechanic role is onsite in Villa Rica, GA, and pays $30–$40 per hour. Sugar Foods’ Villa Rica plant manufactures a range of food products, including salad and breakfast toppings, convenience pouch goods, and canned products. The mechanic performs preventive and responsive maintenance on production and process equipment to support plant operations. The role includes troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems; assisting with line startups and changeovers; documenting work orders; and maintaining safe, clean work areas.

What you'll do

• Perform preventive and responsive maintenance on production and process equipment
• troubleshoot and repair equipment and systems
• assist operations with line startups and changeovers
• communicate repair status to operators, supervisors, and maintenance management
• document work orders, time, and materials in the computerized maintenance management system
• maintain clean work areas and follow company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
