The Senior Horizontal Boring Mill & Vertical Turret Lathe Operator is an onsite role in Mobile, AL, paying $30–$45 per hour. JWC Machine and Fab builds precision components for industrial clients. The operator sets up and runs large machining equipment and checks oversized parts against engineering requirements. Accurate setups, offsets, and in-process inspections help ensure parts meet specifications while supporting safe, efficient production of both standard and one-off work.

What you'll do

• Load, rig, and fixture oversized workpieces using overhead cranes and precision tooling
• set up and operate Horizontal Boring Mills and Vertical Turret Lathes to drawings and job travelers
• perform in-process dimensional inspections
• apply offsets and make minor program edits
• hold GD&T callouts
• escalate safety, tooling, and quality concerns
• maintain material and job traceability records.
