Vocational Specialist and Supervisor

Job overview

The Vocational Specialist and Supervisor role is onsite in Rexburg, ID, with regular travel to Rigby, ID, at least 2–3 times per week. Pay is $16–$18 per hour. The role supports Journeys Vocational Services, which serves working adults in the Rexburg and Rigby areas. The specialist supports vocational services and the job coaching team so participants receive support toward their employment goals. The role combines employer and participant relationships, staff training and scheduling, coaching coverage, and oversight of designated clients and program activities.

What you'll do

• Build relationships with employers, participants, and staff
• support implementation of vocational services
• provide weekly training to job coaching staff
• maintain coach schedules and coverage
• cover coaching shifts as needed
• address coaches’ questions and concerns
• guide and support coworkers
• oversee designated clients
• contribute program suggestions and problem-solving
• lead or attend training, supervision, and orientations
• conduct prescribed in-person observations
• maintain required licenses and certifications.

Why this role

Full-time, 40 hours per week; Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Some on-call and weekend support may be necessary. High school diploma or GED required; prior vocational services experience is highly preferred.
