What you'll do

• Lead, supervise, and develop hourly refractory employees
• direct crew work and manage staffing
• coordinate refractory maintenance and repairs for EAF, ladle, and tundish systems
• monitor refractory conditions and equipment performance
• minimize downtime
• improve refractory life and reduce consumption and costs
• coordinate with production, maintenance, engineering, contractors, vendors, and suppliers
• enforce safety and quality requirements
• inspect work areas and implement corrective actions.
