Manual Machinist — Manual Lathe, First Shift

The Manual Machinist role is onsite in Siler City, NC, with a Monday–Friday first-shift schedule. Pay is $28–$30 per hour. The position supports a manufacturing team machining large, custom components. The role exists to set up and operate manual engine lathes and produce components to specified dimensions and tolerances. The machinist takes work from drawings through setup, machining, measurement, inspection, and completion while following quality and safety procedures.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate manual engine lathes for custom and production machining
• machine large and heavy components to dimensions and tolerances
• interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
• select cutting tools, tooling, speeds, and feeds
• perform turning, facing, boring, threading, and grooving
• measure workpieces with precision tools
• adjust machining to maintain tolerances
• inspect completed work
• safely handle large workpieces
• maintain a clean, organized, safe work area
• follow quality and safety procedures.
