What you'll do

• Perform blood draws, urinalysis, rapid tests, and swabs
• review lab orders and patient identification
• explain collection procedures and educate patients on specimen collection
• label samples and update patient information
• process urinalysis and rapid tests
• receive, package, and document specimens
• use a centrifuge
• coordinate stat pickups and special tests with reference labs
• follow confidentiality, OSHA, and safety requirements.
