Optician — Eyewear and Patient Care

Job overview

The Optician role is onsite in El Dorado Hills, CA, with compensation of $17–$22 per hour. The role helps patients find eyewear that fits their prescriptions and needs while supporting quality care at the optometric center.

What you'll do

• Identify the reason for each patient’s visit and eyewear needs
• recommend frames, lenses, and coatings based on prescriptions and customer needs
• take measurements, adjust and troubleshoot eyewear, and dispense products
• provide pricing and delivery estimates
• assist with insurance billing and order processing
• document patient communications
• clean and merchandise displays
• support customer service and team relationships.
