Manual Machinist

Job overview

The Manual Machinist position is onsite in Saint Petersburg, FL, with pay of $22–$28 per hour. The role is based at Extreme Coatings’ manufacturing facility, where it supports production of industrial components. The machinist operates manual equipment to machine, grind, and finish components to required specifications. Accurate measurement, inspection, documentation, and safe equipment practices help ensure finished parts meet quality requirements and production needs.

What you'll do

• Set up and operate manual lathes, grinders, and related shop equipment
• load, align, and secure workpieces
• read blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
• machine, grind, sand, and polish parts
• use micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools
• inspect finished parts
• perform basic equipment maintenance
• maintain a clean, safe work area
• complete production and inspection documentation.

Why this role

Three or more years of manual machining and two or more years of manual lathe experience are preferred. High school diploma or equivalent is listed. TIG welding experience is a plus. The role requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working around machinery and metal particulates with required PPE and safety programs.
