Experienced Sign Production & Installation Technician

Job overview

The Experienced Sign Production & Installation Technician is based in Grand Rapids, MI, with travel to job sites across multiple states and occasional overnight stays. Compensation is $22–$25 per hour based on experience. Signworks of Michigan designs, fabricates, and installs custom commercial signage. The technician installs commercial signs and structural sign systems, translating drawings and site measurements into safe, accurate installations. The work brings customer signage projects to completion and makes business brands visible in their locations.

What you'll do

• Install commercial signage, including channel letters, monument signs, digital displays, and architectural elements
• assemble, weld, secure, and mount sign components
• read blueprints and installation drawings
• coordinate footings and concrete work
• perform electrical wiring when permitted and required
• operate lifts, cranes, bucket trucks, and forklifts
• conduct site surveys and measurements
• transport materials
• maintain safe job sites and use fall protection.
