The Controller, Corporate Accounting role is onsite in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Compensation is $80,000–$130,000 per year. The controller leads the corporate accounting function for Prestige Trucking Insurance and its affiliated companies. The role oversees the accounting lifecycle and reporting, strengthens compliance and audit procedures, and supports financial planning. It provides operational leadership to the accounting team and works with operations, finance, IT, and external vendors to improve reporting and accounting processes.

What you'll do

• Develop and oversee the Accounting Department, including its structure, goals, and performance standards
• lead billing, accounts receivable/payable, payroll, inventory, and general ledger operations
• support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning
• ensure regulatory and tax compliance
• oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end reporting and close
• prepare financial statements
• build, train, and mentor accountants and bookkeepers
• coordinate finance-system optimization with IT
• design audit processes
• collaborate with business leaders on cost analysis and efficiency.
