The Teacher Assistant role is onsite in Abingdon, VA, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 40 hours per week. Pay is $14.35–$14.78 per hour. The position supports the Child and Family Development program at Abingdon Head Start Center, part of People Incorporated of Virginia’s community-focused work with clients and families. The role supports classroom teachers with individualized instruction and helps create an inclusive learning environment for children. It also assists with child health assessments, data entry, and required documentation.
