The CDL Class A Instructor Trainer role is onsite in Commerce City, CO, at $26–$28 per hour. The schedule is generally Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; some higher-volume yards operate seven days a week. 160 Driving Academy trains commercial drivers at locations across the country. The instructor teaches Class A driving skills in the yard and on the road, guiding students through inspections, maneuvers, and driving practice to prepare them for CDL testing. The role also tracks student progress, maintains training records, follows the curriculum with the instructor team, and helps keep the yard presentable.

What you'll do

• Teach Class A driving skills on automatic and manual trucks
• guide students through pre-trip inspections, yard maneuvers, and on-road driving
• prepare students for CDL testing
• track attendance and progress
• maintain training records and evaluations
• report incidents
• coordinate with instructors and the Lead Instructor
• help maintain the yard
• and cover nearby yards when needed.
