Assistant Teacher

The Assistant Teacher role is onsite in Concord, NH, with pay of $15.30–$16.48 per hour. This full-time position is at the Mary Stuart Gile Early Learning Center at NHTI’s child development center, serving children from six weeks through kindergarten. The center is a demonstration setting for early childhood education practices. The role supports children’s safety, development, and learning while assisting classroom teachers with activities, observations, records, and classroom upkeep. It also helps the center maintain communication with families and implement its program goals.

What you'll do

• Engage with children and respond to their needs
• assist with curriculum activities, classroom organization, and cleaning
• record child observations and support teachers’ curriculum planning
• maintain member records and account for children in the assigned group
• assist with classroom documentation and family communication
• and support volunteers and practicum students through modeling. Medication assistance and first aid may be requested under company policy.
