Job overview
The Senior Electrical/Electronics Engineer role is onsite in Wallingford, CT, with a base salary range of $100,000–$150,000 per year. The role supports an established industrial instrumentation product line and its next-generation meter platform. As the primary internal electrical engineering resource, the engineer maintains and improves existing product electronics, resolves product and manufacturing issues, and supports upgrades, certifications, and future development. The role also provides technical ownership as a new platform transitions into the organization and is sustained throughout its lifecycle.
What you'll do
- Maintain electrical and electronic designs, schematics, circuitry, components, and documentation
- support product upgrades, new development, and next-generation product sustainment
- manage component obsolescence and replacement decisions
- troubleshoot product, manufacturing, and field issues
- support hazardous-area and electrical certifications
- work with manufacturing on incoming electronics, returned products, test stations, and production equipment
- configure and troubleshoot third-party instrumentation
- support custom electrical applications
- maintain technical documentation
- monitor relevant standards.
