The Ophthalmic Technician role is onsite in Tallahassee, FL. Compensation is $16–$18 per hour. Southern Vitreoretinal Associates is an ophthalmology practice specializing in retina care, with six offices and six physicians. The technician supports physicians and patients in a clinical setting by collecting examination information, updating charts, and maintaining knowledge of clinical equipment and medications. The role may progress to photography, procedure assistance, and medical scribing, while helping the practice deliver patient-focused care.

What you'll do

• Communicate with patients and physicians
• obtain medical history, visual acuity, ocular pressure, and extraocular movement information
• update patient charts accurately
• maintain knowledge of clinical equipment and drugs
• progress to photography, ocular procedure assistance, and medical scribing as applicable
• travel to satellite offices
• work four 10-hour days, typically 7:20 a.m. to 5:00–6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Why this role
