Life Skills Instructor

The Life Skills Instructor role is onsite in Hershey, PA, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Compensation is $20 per hour. Vista Autism Services provides day services to individuals with autism and other intellectual disabilities through its Community Integration Center and community activities. The instructor supports individuals in building skills for independence and community participation. The role plans and supports activities, assists with daily living as needed, documents progress and incidents, and helps maintain safety and respectful relationships.

What you'll do

• Support independent community participation
• plan and implement activities that promote engagement and social interaction
• ensure safety during outings
• provide emotional support
• assist with daily living activities as needed
• document progress, billing, behavior data, consumer funds, and incidents
• transport individuals to community locations as needed
• support communication and relationships.

Why this role

High school diploma or GED preferred. Requires a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license, clean driving record, vehicle inspection, registration, and insurance. Community Participation Support Training is required within 60 days; crisis intervention, CPR/First Aid, and medication administration training are required.
