Multi-Modality Technologist in Austin, TX. This is an onsite position with a FULL_TIME employment type. Compensation is not specified. This role supports St. David's ER Center - East Riverside. This role is responsible for performing X-ray and CT exams according to established standards and policies. The technologist will produce optimal diagnostic quality scans on patients of all ages, operate CT scanners, and complete required documentation.

What you'll do

• Consistently produce scans of optimal diagnostic quality on patients ranging from Neonatal to Geriatric age groups. Follow established scanning and viewing protocols. Operate CT scanner (any models) and related equipment efficiently and effectively. Complete quality scans in a timely manner, effectively organizing and prioritizing workflow to meet STAT and urgent demands while continuing to meet OP customer standards. Demonstrate proficiency in scanning trauma, acute and challenging patients
• possess skills to modify positioning and scanning factors when standard cannot be performed. Demonstrate knowledge of disease processes and produce studies that optimally identify related anatomy. Demonstrate competence in using the power injector
• verbalizes limits of use. Scan patients of all ages, tailoring exam to the age/size/weight/special needs of patients. Complete the required documentation on forms, logs, workstation and Meditech. Assist the Radiologist during invasive procedures, demonstrates knowledge of supplies required and ensures availability. Ensure CT and department equipment is functioning properly.

What we're looking for

Education

Associate's Degree. Graduate from an accredited approved program in Radiologic Technology. Completion of courses in computed tomography (CT) and cross-sectional anatomy.

Experience

Associate's Degree. One year experience as a Radiology Technologist in an acute care setting. One year experience performing CT procedures - required.
