Equipment Operator

Job overview

The Equipment Operator works onsite in Gainesville, TX; compensation is $18 per hour. Xylem Tree Experts and Kendall Vegetation Services provide vegetation management services for electric utilities. The operator uses heavy equipment to remove branches and tree material from electrical lines. The role supports safe daily crew operations by preparing and operating equipment, helping maintain tools, clearing debris, and assisting with storm work when needed.

What you'll do

• Follow and help enforce safe practices
• prepare equipment and materials at the Foreperson’s direction
• operate equipment as directed
• help maintain and repair equipment and tools
• assist crew members
• clear and dispose of debris
• set up barriers and warning markers
• track and report mileage
• perform storm work as needed.
