Teacher Aide / Dedicated Aide is an onsite role in Washington, DC. Compensation is $17.50 or more per hour. The aide supports a client’s services for K–12 children in the Washington, DC area through Delta-T Group’s education and social-service referral network. The role provides individualized classroom support to students, including students with disabilities, and helps them participate in academic, social, and personal-care activities. Working with teachers and other staff, the aide supports IEP goals, classroom routines, positive behavior, and communication about student progress.

What you'll do

• Assist students with daily academic, social, and personal-care activities as needed
• provide one-on-one support following IEPs
• help implement lesson plans and adapt materials
• support assignments and motivation
• implement behavior strategies
• monitor behavior and report concerns
• prepare classroom materials
• communicate with students, teachers, and parents
• attend meetings and training
• maintain progress and incident records.
