Job overview

The Caregiver role is onsite in Newellton, LA, and pays $10.50 per hour. The schedule is weekends only, 8:00 AM–3:30 PM. A First Name Basis provides in-home care for seniors and individuals with disabilities across several states. The caregiver supports clients’ personal care, daily routines, safety, and well-being in their homes. The role contributes to consistent, documented care and requires reliable transportation to assigned visits.

What you'll do

• Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, oral hygiene, and toileting
• offer companionship and emotional support
• assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and feeding as needed
• provide medication reminders and accompany clients to appointments
• monitor and report changes in health and well-being
• maintain a safe client environment
• document care
• travel reliably to client homes
• complete required in-service training.
