Assistant Service Manager – Maintenance

The Assistant Service Manager – Maintenance role is onsite at the Mallory community in Hampton, VA. Compensation is $22–$24 per hour. The position supports maintenance operations at a multifamily residential community managed by S.L. Nusbaum Realty Co. The assistant manager assumes supervisory and coordination duties when the Service Manager is absent and performs mechanical and construction-related work. The role helps maintain a clean, safe, comfortable, and attractive living environment for residents while supporting property operations.

What you'll do

• Assume managerial, supervisory, coordination, and administrative duties in the Service Manager’s absence
• perform mechanical and construction-related work including HVAC, plumbing, painting, drywall, tile, carpentry, welding, and electrical repairs
• respond to service calls
• perform preventive maintenance on mechanical and lawn-care equipment
• supervise and participate in property maintenance and repairs. Occasional duties may include fence mending, key cutting, trash pickup, lawn care, pool cleaning, and carpet shampooing.
