As a Cardiovascular Technologist or Special Procedure Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients by demonstrating expertise in human growth, development, and assessment. You will work closely with our physicians, scrubbing in to assist during both diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral angiographic studies.

What you'll do

• Scrub and assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac as well as peripheral angiographic studies.
• Monitor, record, and report any symptoms or changes in patient conditions to ensure safety.
• Provide accurate and detailed documentation while using the Hemodynamic Monitoring System during procedures.
• Assess, plan, and implement specialized care for each patient throughout their procedure.
• React quickly to emergency situations, including responding to STEMIs within 30 minutes when on-call.
• Offer hemodynamic monitoring assistance and apply understanding of valve areas and pressures.
• Prepare patients for their examinations or treatments and assist the medical team as needed.
• Communicate important pre- and post-procedure education to patients and their loved ones.
• Share knowledge with peers and take an active role in precepting new team members.
• Participate in departmental continuous quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain expertise by pursuing continuing education.
