The Sommelier position is onsite in Rutherford, CA, and is part-time. Pay is $25.00–$27.00 per hour. The role supports Auberge du Soleil’s wine program at its Michelin-starred restaurant and its Napa Valley hospitality experience. The sommelier helps develop and execute the wine program, deliver excellent wine and beverage service, and support guest satisfaction, sales, and profitability. The role includes maintaining wine quality, knowing the beverage offerings, training staff on wine knowledge and systems, and attending tastings or seminars when available.

What you'll do

• Support management in developing and implementing the wine program’s strategic plan
• provide leadership and direction in wine and beverage service
• check the quality of wines served by the glass
• maintain knowledge of wines, menus, glassware, garnishes, preparation, portions, presentation, and prices
• assist with staff training on beverage knowledge and wine systems
• attend wine and beverage tastings and seminars when available.
