What you'll do

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage adult and pediatric inpatients
• perform admission histories and physical examinations
• develop and adjust treatment plans
• order and interpret laboratory studies, imaging, and other tests
• coordinate with consulting physicians, nursing, pharmacy, therapy, and ancillary departments
• conduct daily rounds
• manage acute and chronic conditions
• coordinate transfers, consultations, and discharge planning
• maintain electronic medical records
• participate in quality improvement and comply with IHS policies and federal regulations.

Why this role

Requires an MD or DO, active unrestricted medical license, current DEA registration, BLS and ACLS certifications, board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, and at least two years of recent inpatient or hospitalist experience.
