Maintenance Technician – Affordable Housing

Job overview

The Maintenance Technician – Affordable Housing works onsite at two assigned senior housing communities in the Charlottesville, VA area, with regular travel between locations and after-hours on-call coverage. Pay is $25 per hour. The role supports Centurion Residential’s affordable senior housing communities. The technician maintains safe, functional, clean communities by completing resident work orders, preventive maintenance, inspections, unit turnovers, and routine repairs. The position also documents work, coordinates with vendors as directed, and provides respectful service to senior residents.

What you'll do

• Complete routine maintenance and repairs in residential units, common areas, buildings, and grounds
• respond to resident work orders
• troubleshoot routine plumbing, electrical, appliance, carpentry, hardware, fixture, and building-system issues
• perform basic HVAC checks and escalate specialized work. Complete preventive maintenance, inspections, unit make-ready work, and accurate documentation
• report safety or property concerns
• coordinate with vendors as directed
• maintain tools and supplies
• participate in scheduled after-hours emergency on-call coverage.
