Facility Maintenance Technician — First Shift

The Facility Maintenance Technician position is onsite in Carol Stream, IL, with a pay range of $25–$29 per hour. The technician supports a manufacturing facility’s production infrastructure and company operations. The role maintains safe, reliable facility systems and equipment through preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance. It responds to breakdowns, documents work, and supports production and other departments while helping improve equipment reliability and facility efficiency.

What you'll do

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on facility equipment and building systems
• troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC issues
• inspect systems and document scheduled maintenance
• respond to maintenance requests and breakdowns
• maintain utilities and infrastructure
• perform basic electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repairs
• assist with HVAC systems and general building upkeep
• coordinate with outside contractors
• maintain records and work orders
• follow safety and environmental requirements
• support continuous improvement and production departments.

Why this role

High school diploma or GED, relevant maintenance experience, and mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience are required. Technical training, CMMS experience, and experience with industrial utility systems are preferred.
