Assistant Manager – Pet Care

The Assistant Manager – Pet Care role is onsite in Apex, North Carolina. Pay is $25–$30.25 per hour. Bear Hug Pet Care’s assistant manager supports the owner and general manager in the day-to-day operation of the pet resort. The role helps oversee staff and customer service while filling in across resort operations as needed. It supports smooth daily operations through staff scheduling, customer check-in and payment, inventory oversight, and care routines for dogs.

What you'll do

• Assist the owner and general manager with business operations
• supervise front-end and back-end staff
• greet customers
• manage check-in and check-out in K9 Connect
• accept payments and answer phone inquiries
• open or close the building when needed
• provide tours
• develop feeding and medication schedules
• feed or medicate dogs when needed
• maintain employee schedules and inventory
• oversee disinfecting procedures.
