Firearms Sales Clerk (Part-Time)

The Firearms Sales Clerk role is an onsite, part-time position in Chesapeake, VA, scheduled for 20–29 hours per week. Pay is $16 per hour. The Coast Guard Exchange team serves customers and supports those who serve. The clerk assists customers with firearm selection and sales, maintains required transaction documentation and inventory controls, and supports accurate checkout, merchandise presentation, and compliance with applicable firearm regulations.

What you'll do

• Welcome customers and help select firearms
• maintain product knowledge
• respond to customer concerns
• comply with ATF and federal, state, and local firearm rules
• complete federal Form 4473 and applicable state forms
• conduct price checks and report discrepancies
• sell merchandise and explain product features
• replenish and present stock
• process payments and balance the till
• maintain sales records
• conduct daily on-site firearm counts
• follow loss prevention, safety, and emergency procedures.
