This position supports the Data Center Workload Engineering (DCWE) team, which connects real data center workloads to Micron's future memory and storage products. The role exists to shape next-generation SSDs for hyperscale and AI-driven data centers. By turning real workload data and system knowledge into models, the engineer influences product direction and guides long-term product decisions at the highest levels.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and operate a data center-scale logical model to evaluate future SSD product scenarios.
• Integrate workload data, telemetry, and benchmarks into performance, power, and cost projections.
• Model hyperscaler tradeoffs across compute, memory, storage, and interconnects.
• Analyze AI cloud architectures.
• Communicate insights to senior leadership.

What we're looking for

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering

Experience

10+ years of experience in hyperscale data centers or large cloud environments
