The Medical Assistant works onsite in Fresno, CA, with pay of $17.50–$19.50 per hour. The role coordinates medical services and performs routine administrative and clinical work at Aegis Treatment Centers. What you'll do

• Work with the intake team to help patients be seen promptly
• observe and test urine samples for drug screens and prepare samples for laboratory confirmation
• obtain vital signs and report findings to a nurse when needed
• collect blood samples for standard testing and prepare them for the laboratory
• communicate relevant information to leadership
• schedule appointments and provide lab work and referrals for follow-up care
• maintain patient records and documentation in the electronic health record and laboratory software
• follow security procedures and monitor visitor logs. Cash handling, account management, appointment coordination, PDMP checks, and lab drop-offs may be assigned.

Why this role

California requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and a current medical assistant or emergency medical technician certificate from an accredited teaching school, or transcripts. Experience as a medical assistant is required.
