What you'll do
- Observe best practices in classroom instruction and education reform
- Observe Master Teachers and co-teach with teacher-leaders
- Provide in-house substitute teaching coverage
- Support teachers with tutoring, grading, and individual or small group student instruction
- Potentially teach own class of students
- Assist with Enrichment classes, student events, and mentoring
- Participate in summer and school-year professional development and coaching
- Develop teaching skills to become a full-time teacher
- Implement curricula and activities to meet academic standards
- Design and implement assessments
- Use assessment data to refine curriculum and inform instructional practices
- Participate in collaborative curriculum development and school-wide functions
- Provide consistent rewards and/or consequences for student behavior
- Serve as an advisor to a small group of students
- Supervise students during transitions, meals, and after school.

- Education
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Experience
- Prior experience working in schools and/or urban communities is preferred but not required.
