Job overview
Certified Surgical Technologist in Cedar Park, TX. This is an onsite position with no specified salary. HCA Healthcare is committed to delivering respectful, compassionate care. The Surgical Technician assists in preparing the operating room suite, assists during surgery, and provides instrumentation appropriate for the task.
What you'll do
- Assists in the cleaning and preparation of the operating room suite, as well as participating in the care and cleaning of operating room equipment
- Performs in a sterile field and assists the surgeon by providing instrumentation appropriate for the task
- Provides care for the operative patient before, during, and after surgery
- Performs patient care within the scope of training of the operating room technician and under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN)
- Prepares patients, equipment, and operating rooms for each procedure/surgery
- Maintains a clean and safe operating room suite for surgical patients
- Performs intra-operative management of assigned procedures and anticipates needs of the surgeon
- Assists the circulating nurse in maintaining correct instrument counts
- Is responsible for supply and equipment management, including determining needs, ensuring availability, and maintaining equipment through proper sterilization.

- Education
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or hospital-conducted on-the-job training with proof of program content and completion
- Experience
- Work experience as a Surgical Technician with demonstrated competency in multiple inpatient surgical specialties, including crani, spine, and robotics within the past year - required
