Lead Teacher

The Lead Teacher role is onsite in Riverview, FL. Compensation is $16.25–$19 per hour. The Learning Experience is an early education provider whose mission is to make a difference in the lives of children, families, and communities. The teacher leads classroom learning and care, implements the L.E.A.P. Curriculum for infants, toddlers, and/or preschool children according to individual needs, and maintains a safe, nurturing environment. The role also communicates children’s progress to families and collaborates with center staff and leadership to support retention, enrollment, and engagement.

What you'll do

• Plan, prepare, and collaborate to create a welcoming classroom
• implement the L.E.A.P. Curriculum for infants, toddlers, and/or preschool children, adapting to individual needs
• prioritize children’s safety and nurturing care
• update parents on progress and milestones through mobile apps and in-person discussions
• collaborate with center staff and leadership on retention, enrollment, and engagement
• meet children’s daily needs including diapering, dressing, grooming, and feeding
• encourage communication, conflict resolution, and developmentally appropriate activities. Requires a CDA, high school diploma or GED, age 18 or older, and compliance with state-specific requirements.
