Specimen Collector

Job overview

The Specimen Collector role is onsite in Dickson, TN, with compensation of $18–$21 per hour. Millennium Health is an accredited specialty laboratory providing medication monitoring and drug-testing services to support clinical decision-making. The collector obtains and processes patient specimens and serves as a link between clinics and the laboratory. Accurate records, secure handling, and patient service support the laboratory’s testing and clinical partnerships.

What you'll do

• Collect urine and/or oral-fluid specimens
• process and package collections for shipping
• serve as an intermediary between clinics and the laboratory
• record patient, physician-order, and laboratory information
• resolve specimen concerns involving billing or patient information
• maintain onsite collection supplies
• observe collections when applicable. Driving between facilities and occasional overnight coverage may be required
• the position requires regular travel.
