The Radiologic Technologist role is onsite in Hampton, VA. Pay starts at $33 per hour. The position prepares patients for diagnostic imaging and produces X-ray images used to help diagnose medical conditions. The technologist explains procedures, positions patients and equipment, and adjusts imaging controls to obtain appropriate radiographs. Maintaining patient records and imaging equipment supports accurate diagnostic work and patient care.

What you'll do

• Prepare patients for diagnostic imaging
• review physicians’ notes and take medical histories
• explain procedures and assess whether patients are claustrophobic
• position patients and radiographic equipment
• prepare solutions for patients to drink
• use radiation protection devices
• measure the section to be radiographed and adjust X-ray controls to produce appropriate images
• maintain patient records
• adjust and maintain equipment.

Why this role
