The Private Early Childhood Educator & Developmental Mentor role is onsite in Austin, TX, and compensation starts at $80 per hour, depending on education, experience, and qualifications. Prime Academics serves as a family’s educational partner, helping design the broader program and coordinate specialty instructors. The educator supports the intellectual, social, emotional, physical, and creative development of two children, ages 3 and 4.5. Through individualized lessons, play, projects, movement, and exploration, the role builds foundational skills and encourages curiosity, confidence, independence, and enthusiasm for learning.

What you'll do

• Build foundations in literacy, numeracy, language, and general knowledge
• create lessons, projects, and activities inspired by the children’s interests
• incorporate art, music, storytelling, theater, building, nature, movement, and imaginative play
• foster curiosity, independence, confidence, kindness, and sound judgment
• observe and adapt to each child’s development and needs
• collaborate with Prime Academics and other educators, coaches, and specialists.

Why this role

The ideal schedule is Monday–Friday for approximately 3–5 hours per day in the late morning and early afternoon, but the family is open to another schedule for the right person. The engagement runs from November through April. A bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred; candidates with unconventional but relevant backgrounds are welcome.
