The Youth Leader role is onsite in Spokane, WA, with flexible schedules. Starting pay is $17.47 per hour. The YMCA of the Inland Northwest supports youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility in the community. The Youth Leader supports the Site Director by supervising and nurturing school-age children in before- and after-school programs and day camps. The role delivers engaging activities, encourages youth leadership and decision-making, communicates with families, and helps maintain a safe, organized program site.

What you'll do

• Support programming at assigned locations and travel to local sites
• supervise and nurture children
• deliver curriculum and classroom activities
• encourage youth leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making
• communicate with families about children’s needs and progress
• maintain a clean, safe, and organized site
• attend family nights, program activities, and staff training
• follow safety and child abuse prevention policies
• prepare, serve, and track meals and snacks.
